Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

My best tip for success is to avoid overbaking them. You want to take them out of the oven when the edges are just set but the middle still looks a tiny bit soft. They will finish cooking as they cool in the pan.

Store your leftover bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to four days. If you want a warm treat later, pop a bar in the microwave for ten seconds. You can also freeze these bars for up to three months if you wrap them tightly in plastic.
