When the house is full of noise and everyone is hungry, I always turn to these baked chicken tenders. They have that satisfying crunch kids love without the mess of deep frying in oil.

My top tip is to make sure your chicken pieces are cut into similar sizes so they all finish cooking at the same time. Serve these with your favorite dipping sauce and a side of veggies for a meal that never fails.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

👩‍🍳Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.

  3. 3

Dip each chicken strip into the beaten egg, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

  4. 4

Place the coated chicken on your prepared baking sheet.

  5. 5

Drizzle the melted butter over the tops of the chicken strips.

  6. 6

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.

💡 Tips

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can reheat them in a toaster oven or air fryer to bring back that crispy texture. They are also perfect for lunch boxes the next day.
