Quick and Easy Homemade Frozen Yogurt
A refreshing and healthy treat that comes together in your blender in just a few minutes.
recipesbynani.comThere is something so wonderful about being able to whip up a cold treat whenever the craving strikes. This recipe is a favorite in my house because you do not need any fancy ice cream machines to make it happen.
My best tip is to use the thickest Greek yogurt you can find. It makes the texture much creamier and prevents it from getting too icy in the freezer.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen berries of your choice
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Place the frozen berries, Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract into a high speed blender.
- 2
Blend the mixture on medium speed while using a tamper to push the ingredients down until the texture is smooth and creamy.
- 3
Stop blending as soon as the mixture is uniform so it does not melt too much.
- 4
Serve it immediately in bowls for a soft serve consistency, or freeze it for another hour if you prefer a firmer scoop.
💡 Tips
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week. To serve again, let it sit on the counter for about five minutes to soften up. You can swap the berries for frozen mango or peaches to change the flavor profile.
