Nani's Magic Cookie Bars
These bars are a classic treat layered with sweetness that disappears as fast as you can bake them.
recipesbynani.comEveryone in my family loves these bars because they are so simple to put together. You just layer all the good things right in the pan and let the oven do the hard work for you.
They have a wonderful chewy texture from the oats and a rich buttery crust. I like to make these for potlucks because they are always the first thing to go.
🧺 Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&M candies
- 1 cup caramel bits
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9 by 13 inch baking pan.
- 2
Mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl until the texture feels like wet sand.
- 3
Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of your prepared pan to create the crust.
- 4
Sprinkle the chocolate chips, M&M candies, caramel bits, oats, and coconut evenly over the crust layer.
- 5
Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk slowly and evenly over the top of all the toppings.
- 6
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- 7
Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.
💡 Tips
Store these bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days. If you want a cleaner cut, place the pan in the fridge for an hour before slicing.
