Nani's Favorite Cheesy Garlic Bread
This is the ultimate cheesy garlic bread with a buttery crust and plenty of gooey cheese.
recipesbynani.comThere is nothing quite like pulling a fresh loaf of cheesy bread out of the oven. It is the perfect side dish for pasta night or just a cozy snack to share with your family on a lazy afternoon.
My secret to the best bread is using plenty of fresh garlic and a mix of cheeses. Make sure to use a good crusty loaf so it stays crunchy on the bottom while the top stays soft and melty.
🧺 Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Cut the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place both pieces cut side up on a large baking sheet.
- 3
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt until smooth.
- 4
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- 5
Sprinkle the mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top of the buttered bread.
- 6
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 7
Turn the oven to broil for 1 or 2 minutes if you want the cheese to get a little golden brown on top.
- 8
Remove from the oven, slice into smaller pieces, and serve warm.
💡 Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. To reheat, pop the slices back in the oven or a toaster oven until the cheese is hot and melty again.
