Homemade Refreshing Acai Bowls
Cool down with a thick and creamy acai bowl that tastes just like your favorite smoothie shop treat.
recipesbynani.comThere is nothing quite like a cold acai bowl to start your morning or pick you up in the afternoon. People love these because they are packed with antioxidants and feel like a true treat while still being good for you.
My biggest tip for the perfect texture is to use frozen fruit and very little liquid. Keeping everything frozen ensures that thick consistency that makes the bowl so satisfying to eat.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 packs frozen unsweetened acai puree
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup granola
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave
- Fresh sliced strawberries or blueberries for topping
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Take your acai puree packets out of the freezer for a few minutes so they soften just enough to break apart.
- 2
Place the acai puree, frozen berries, banana, and almond milk into a high speed blender.
- 3
Blend on low speed while using a tamper to push the ingredients down, then increase to medium until the mixture is thick and smooth.
- 4
Pour the mixture into a serving bowl immediately.
- 5
Top with granola, fresh fruit, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkle of chia seeds.
💡 Tips
Eat your bowl right away while the texture is thick and frosty. If you have leftovers, you can pour the mixture into ice cube trays to freeze and blend again later for a quick snack.
