Homemade Honey Toasted Nut Bark
This crunchy and sweet nut bark is the perfect treat for when you need a quick energy boost.
recipesbynani.comThere is something so satisfying about the smell of toasted nuts filling the kitchen. This recipe is a favorite in my house because it is simple to put together and much better than store bought snacks that are full of mystery ingredients.
I love using a mix of almonds, pecans, and sunflower seeds for a great variety of textures. Keep an eye on the oven while the nuts toast because they can go from perfectly golden to burnt very quickly.
🧺 Ingredients
- 2 cups mixed raw nuts like almonds and pecans
- 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 ounces dark chocolate, melted
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, melted coconut oil, and salt until smooth.
- 3
Place the nuts and sunflower seeds on the baking sheet and pour the honey mixture over them.
- 4
Toss everything together until the nuts are evenly coated and spread them into a single layer.
- 5
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the nuts are golden and fragrant.
- 6
Remove from the oven and let the mixture cool completely on the pan until it hardens.
- 7
Once cooled, break the bark into pieces and drizzle with the melted dark chocolate before serving.
💡 Tips
Store your bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. If your kitchen gets warm, keep it in the fridge so the chocolate stays firm. You can also mix in some dried cranberries for a bit of chewy sweetness.
