Easy Oreo Truffles
These creamy and delicious Oreo truffles are the perfect bite sized treat for any occasion.
recipesbynani.comThese little truffles are a favorite in my house because they only need three simple ingredients. Everyone loves that crunchy chocolate shell paired with the soft cookie center.
They look so fancy, but they are actually very easy to put together. Make sure to chill your cookie balls well before dipping them, because it keeps them from falling apart in the warm chocolate.
🧺 Ingredients
- 1 package Oreo cookies
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 12 ounces semi sweet or milk chocolate chips
- Optional: red sprinkles or melted white chocolate for decorating
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Crush the entire package of cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a sealed bag with a rolling pin.
- 2
Mix the cookie crumbs with the softened cream cheese until the mixture is completely combined and smooth.
- 3
Roll the mixture into small, bite sized balls and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- 4
Put the baking sheet in the freezer for about 15 minutes so the balls can firm up.
- 5
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth.
- 6
Dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, tap off the excess, and place it back on the baking sheet.
- 7
Add sprinkles or a drizzle of white chocolate if you want to decorate them.
- 8
Let the truffles set in the refrigerator until the chocolate is hard before serving.
💡 Tips
Store these truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them firm and fresh. They taste best when served chilled, so keep them cold until the very last minute.
