Easy Hawaiian Roll Cinnamon Rolls
These sweet and soft cinnamon rolls are a quick treat that everyone in the family will love.
recipesbynani.comThere is nothing quite like the smell of warm cinnamon rolls baking in the kitchen on a slow weekend morning. Using sweet Hawaiian rolls as a base makes this recipe incredibly fast and easy, so you can skip the long rising times without giving up that fluffy texture we all crave.
My biggest tip for this recipe is to keep an eye on them while they are in the oven. Since the bread is already baked, you really just want to get the butter and sugar mixture melted and gooey, so don't let them get too dark on the edges.
🧺 Ingredients
- 1 package of 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly grease a baking dish.
- 2
Use a serrated knife to cut the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping all the rolls connected.
- 3
Place the bottom slab of rolls into your prepared baking dish.
- 4
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
- 5
Pour about two thirds of the butter mixture over the bottom layer of rolls, then place the top slab of rolls back on.
- 6
Brush the remaining butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- 7
Bake for 15 minutes or until the sugar is bubbly and the rolls are heated through.
- 8
While they bake, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla together in a small bowl until smooth.
- 9
Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve them while they are still soft and gooey.
💡 Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can warm them up in the microwave for a few seconds to get that fresh, gooey texture back before serving.
