Easy BBQ Chicken Sliders
These quick sliders are packed with smoky chicken and melted cheese for a crowd pleasing meal.
recipesbynani.comThere is nothing quite like a warm tray of sliders to feed a hungry family on a busy weeknight. These BBQ chicken sliders are a favorite in my house because they are simple to put together and everyone loves the combination of tangy sauce and gooey cheese.
My top tip for this recipe is to use a rotisserie chicken if you are short on time. It makes the prep work go by so fast and keeps the chicken nice and tender while it bakes in the oven.
🧺 Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup your favorite barbecue sauce
- 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
Slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
- 3
Mix the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce in a small bowl.
- 4
Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
- 5
Sprinkle the shredded Gouda cheese over the chicken.
- 6
Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
- 7
Whisk the melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley together in a small bowl and brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
- 8
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
💡 Tips
Serve these warm alongside a simple side salad or some coleslaw. If you have leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat them in the oven to keep the rolls crispy.
