There is nothing better than waking up to a breakfast that is already made. These protein overnight oats are a lifesaver on busy mornings when you want something satisfying but do not have time to cook.

I love adding a little extra protein to start my day on the right foot. You can use your favorite protein powder to change up the flavor, but I always come back to a simple vanilla base because it goes with every topping imaginable.

🧺 Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 3/4 cup milk of your choice
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup, optional
  • Fresh berries or nuts for serving

👩‍🍳Instructions

  1. 1

Grab a mason jar or a small container with a lid.

  2. 2

Add the oats, protein powder, and chia seeds into the jar and give it a quick stir.

  3. 3

Pour in the milk and the Greek yogurt.

  4. 4

Add the maple syrup if you like a little extra sweetness.

  5. 5

Stir everything well until no dry clumps of protein powder remain.

  6. 6

Cover the jar and place it in the refrigerator for at least four hours or leave it overnight.

  7. 7

When you are ready to eat, give the oats a good stir and top with your favorite fruit or nuts.

💡 Tips

If your oats look a bit too thick in the morning, just add a splash of extra milk and stir. You can store these in the fridge for up to three days, so feel free to prep a few jars at once to save time during the week.
