Creamy Chia Seed Overnight Oats
These easy overnight oats are the perfect grab and go breakfast for busy mornings.
recipesbynani.comThere is nothing better than waking up to a breakfast that is already made and waiting for you. These oats are thick, creamy, and keep you full until lunch. You can easily adjust the toppings depending on what you have in your pantry or fridge.
My favorite way to make these is to prepare a few jars at once so I have breakfast ready for the next few days. Just remember that the chia seeds soak up quite a bit of liquid, so you can add a splash of extra milk in the morning if they look a little too thick for your liking.
🧺 Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 cup milk of your choice
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Place the oats, chia seeds, milk, yogurt, sweetener, vanilla, and salt into a clean glass jar or container.
- 2
Stir everything well until the ingredients are fully combined.
- 3
Cover the jar with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least four hours, but preferably overnight.
- 4
Give the oats a good stir in the morning and top with your favorite fruit, nuts, or seeds before eating.
💡 Tips
Store your oats in the fridge for up to five days. You can serve them cold straight from the jar, or heat them up in the microwave for a warm breakfast.
