Classic Homemade Graham Cracker Crust
This is my go to crust recipe that works perfectly for almost any creamy pie or cheesecake.
recipesbynani.comThere is something so comforting about a buttery graham cracker crust. It is much easier to make than a traditional pastry crust and it adds a wonderful crunch to your favorite pies.
My top tip is to make sure your butter is fully melted before you mix it with the crumbs. This ensures the crust holds its shape perfectly when you slice into it later.
🧺 Ingredients
- 1 and 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
👩🍳Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 2
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar.
- 3
Pour the melted butter over the crumb mixture and stir until everything is well combined and feels like wet sand.
- 4
Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie dish.
- 5
Bake the crust for 8 to 10 minutes until it is lightly golden.
- 6
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely on a wire rack before adding your pie filling.
💡 Tips
You can store this crust at room temperature for two days if you make it ahead of time. It also freezes very well if you wrap the pie dish tightly in plastic wrap. If you want a no bake version, just chill the pressed crust in the fridge for an hour instead of putting it in the oven.
